By uploading an image to PaletteSmith, you confirm that you have the right to use that image and grant permission for it to be processed for the sole purpose of extracting a colour palette. Uploaded images are processed in memory and are not stored, shared publicly, or used for any purpose beyond palette extraction.
You may not upload images that contain illegal content, sexually explicit or nude material, graphic violence, or content that harasses, threatens, or demeans individuals or groups. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate this policy. Repeated submission of invalid or abusive content may result in automatic account suspension.
Colour palette extraction is provided as a best-effort service. Results depend on image quality, lighting conditions, colour distribution, compression artifacts, and the number of swatches requested. Extracted colours are representative samples and may not capture every colour present in the image. PaletteSmith makes no guarantee that extracted palettes will match your visual perception of the image.
Paint colour matches are provided as a best-effort guide only. Actual paint colours vary by batch, surface, lighting, and application method. Colour appearance on screen differs from physical paint due to display calibration and finish type (matte, satin, gloss). Always test paints on a sample before committing to a project. PaletteSmith makes no warranty regarding match accuracy.
Paint data is sourced from the miniature-paints dataset (MIT License), maintained by Miniature Painter Pro / Rick Fleuren. Brand names and paint names are trademarks of their respective owners. PaletteSmith is not affiliated with any paint manufacturer. The catalog may not include all available paints or the most recent releases.
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use of PaletteSmith after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
